Jewish women of all religious persuasions meet for study days and working meetings. They exchange views and expectations and look for common solutions.
As a member of alliance f and ICJW, we represent Jewish women at national and international conferences.
BSJF is regularly invited to take part in federal consultations and expresses its views on political and societal issues affecting Jewish women.
Network: The BSJF maintains the network of Jewish women and represents them in the public arena.
Promoting contacts: The BSJF strengthens contacts between Jewish women, overcoming language barriers and religious divisions.
Representation to the authorities: The BSJF represents Jewish women's associations and organisations to the Swiss authorities and to associations of other faiths.
Social and cultural support: The BSJF defends the interests of Jewish women in public, private, social and cultural life.
Commitment to the oppressed: The BSJF is committed to defending human rights.
Promoting education: The BSJF strengthens Jewish awareness and supports Jewish education.
International presence: As a member of the ICJW and therefore accredited to various UN delegations, the BSJF takes part in conferences on the status of women organised by the UN or NGOs.
Any Jewish woman residing in Switzerland can become an individual member of BSJF upon application.
